Who isn't selling PPE?

Who do you trust to buy PPE from?

We received an opportunity to become a Vendor with the County of Riverside California and not to bore you with the transactional details, with news of our prices being aggressively low, we received a bulk purchase order to provide PPE to the some of the Hospitals and Mental Health facilities.

On the day I would deliver all the personal protective equipment, my oldest son yelled, "Hey Dad you want some company". I responded with an "Absolutely", now jump in the car.

As we were driving to the County facility I knew this day would be packed with new surprises. It was our first order with the County and I did not want to place high expectations. I simply wanted to fulfill the order complete and address any questions or concerns from my buyer.

From the photos, you can see there was some real "family sweat equity". I knew my son would learn a hard day's work is an honest day's pay. Once we left the facility I asked my son, what would you like to eat for lunch. He obviously noticed a McDonalds en-route, gave his suggestion and said, "Dad a #3 Super Sized", As I pulled into the Drive-Thru and heard the McDonalds crew member ask for my order I said to her, we will have two number three meals super sized please.

At the end of our trip, I knew my son had gained some new values. However so did I. My biggest gain was sharing time with him because children grow up fast.

Granted you are looking for a personal protective equipment local supplier or a new vendor that you can rely on, you can find that with Health Supply Wholesalers we advocate relying on each other first....

HOSPICE NURSES USED THESE TYPES OF PPE IN MY HOME.

This blog is dedicated to my Grandfather that passed away two weeks ago from COVID-19. Little did I know that I would personally be affected by the virus and how much personal protective equipment we would use daily to continue hospice care for him in our home.

We had to relocate my Grandfather because he had a very bad fall from having Parkinson's Disease. Basically that made him realize he either needed to hire a full time elder-care provider or consider having loved ones take care of him. I had to rush out and check on him myself and assess the situation in order to report back to my wife, so she could make the correct decisions whether we relocate ourselves and be closer or uproot him. I enjoyed the trip because he was still walking and cognizant of his surroundings. He could not  walk his dogs any longer, but he was still shuffling his feet from room to room. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We rode on his 44-Coupe to the gas station to get him some Twix candy bar. According to him this was a Whiskey Runner's Automobile back in his prime, but he still settled for that cookie crunch at his current age.

On my last day I noticed he seemed a little more sluggish in the morning. His son was coming to do a rotation himself, but unfortunately his health declined from the moment I left. My wife and I got reports daily that he struggled to get up each morning and often could not get up to even pee. We knew his health was on a very rapid decline. Hence taking another trip a few days later, to position him in our home. Well once my wife and I got there, we quickly agreed he was coming home with us. He was emotionally ready for a new atmosphere and would have driven himself, but he could no longer stand.

The next day was a precursor of what was to come. In fact, one of his closest friends was able to say goodbye. Our Grandfather whispered something in his ear that we would know of moments after he died, but this was between them until it was shared with my wife. We pulled up to our home and so did COVID-19. Shortly afterwards his temperature rose to 103° and my wife decided to call 911. A big crew of Paramedics and Firemen showed up to our door within a few minutes of the call.

My company has provided on some bulk orders with our respective county, so when I saw the Paramedics and Firemen enter with face mask I could also identify the brands used. The Paramedics used Moldex facemask and the Firemen used 3M. Each had some type of medical gloves on too. Those are harder to identify if you do not see the packaging box, but they were definitely Nitrile and Vinyl Gloves. Now, back to my Grandfather, well the Paramedics conducted routine questions and transported him to the Hospital. Hours went by before we got the call from the Doctor. The first few words from the Doctor was Grandfather has respiratory failure, pneumonia, and kidney failure. Also they intend to release him in the next 24 hours. The Doctor's final words is he has COVID-19 and that he is unlikely to "survive the hospitalization". That call basically put us into overdrive and we started looking into Hospice care minutes afterwards. First and foremost we wanted to get tested ourselves, so we did. The outcome a family of five, two positive and three negative for COVID-19. We felt very responsible to advise the hospice company in order for them to better prepare themselves.

Now for the prep-work needed before the hospital releases him. A few phone calls later my wife and a medical bed, two oxygen tanks, a nebulizer, disinfecting wipes, a few boxes of KN95 Respirators, two boxes of disposable face mask, and a few packs of isolation gowns are just to name a few types of PPE delivered to our house.

We noticed each nurse from the hospice company took a few minutes to gown-up when the pulled up to our house. All of them wore bouffant caps, isolation gowns. In fact a majority of them wore two types of  face mask, KN95 and placed another layer of protection with a face-shield. Lastly they layered up with medical exam gloves before entering our home.

In closing, each day that my Grandfather was alive and on Hospice care, we literally went through a set of vinyl exam gloves, a set of KN95 Respirators, and some family members chose the 3 ply disposable mask when visiting our Grandfather on his last days. I am documenting this precious moment in our lives because the PPE not only provided protection but it also brought us closer taking care of him.

HOW TO FIND THE BEST PPE DEALS BEFORE YOUR BUSINESS RE-OPENS.

Simply type up a Google search for Wholesale PPE and you will find us. I would like to add more dimension to what makes us different than our incumbents and our value proposition as Central Factory Specialist for over a dozen manufacturers in China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the United States.

First and foremost I recognized a new strategy was needed as the market was flooded with face mask of all types and I did not want to be just another face mask manufacturer's rep. I wanted to build something that would eventually be more than me being a liaison due to my global supply chain connections. My next move was too be a student of specific personal protective equipment and gain knowledge from the top supply chain companies too.

I gained knowledge of the raw cost it took to make a majority of the PPE in the healthcare market today. I dealt with the fluctuating cost to send merchandise by air. Understood what key players are involved in dealing with the shipyards both internationally and domestically. Continued my learning experience and had learned directly from investment groups that wanted a piece of the action too. Heard several types of business vernacular being exchanged like, SGC, LOC, Surveyor, LOI, Surety Bonds, etc. To sum it up, I was a sponge wanting to learn more and more.

About a month or two later, I ended up in discussions with the procurement and medical supply managers for essential facilities. This was the boost I needed to properly gauge any RFQ from certain municipalities and how to avoid unnecessary price increases. I understood the three fundamental principals in order to secure even a single purchase order during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Having all this information has allowed us to stock the type of PPE that is often used annually for healthcare and industrial usage that fall under the category of essential services.

To answer the question, how to find a good medical PPE distributor? There are many, but our differentiator is we truly understand how to keep the prices as close to Pre-Covid-19 as possible. Should you need to locate a procurement resource that has both durable and non-durable PPE, please feel free to inspect our weekly PPE inventory to help save you time in your procurement process: https://www.healthsupplywholesalers.com/weekly-ppe-inventory-report.html#/

Who is still selling PPE?

Me.

Because that seems to be the operative question considering that every importer jumped on the band wagon of selling personal protective equipment back in March of 2020 when the entire Country went on official lock-down due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I have to admit I did too.

I asked myself, what advantages did I have over experienced importers that already have their manufacturers vetted and local distribution facilities in the United States? Needless to say I was bewildered with just how complex all the discussions and political semantics I was about to preoccupy myself with.

Now I thought long and hard about what my first blog will be, and decided the only way to start was to add some insight on my PPE journey especially after having weeks of discussions with overseas partners and domestic relationships. In addition the blog would be on hold until I truly was able to establish some revenue and value for the company.

Let's jump right into May 2020 particularly with the knowledge of the raw cost I gained on specific PPE. Considering this was a global pandemic our Country was facing fierce competition with others due to turn-key exporting methods coupled with advanced payment in order to acquire personal protective equipment in the peak of recent pandemic.

After nearly two months of constant business development or executing the best elevator sales pitch, my PPE journey seemed bleak. The main reason is everyone I spoke with had some connection in one way shape or form to a buyer, but I was never truly in discussions with one that had the authority to purchase PPE supplies. Over a dozen discussions to submit FDA Certificates, Lab-Test results, whether or not the product had a 510K approval or even a UPC was often communicated in Whatsapp, Wechat, or even via text messages. This was certainly a long drawn out process that lead to no fruition for nearly two months. Hence building an entirely new website with the products we sale at low cost and if not as close to Pre-Covid-19 PPE prices.
